Mindful Eating

When our relationship to food falls out of harmony, we lose our innate enjoyment of eating. When the relationship has been disordered for many years it is easy to forget what normal eating is like.

Mindful eating is an approach that involves bringing one’s full attention to the process of eating.

It is an experience that engages all parts of our body, our heart, and our mind, in choosing, preparing and eating food. Mindful eating involves all the senses. It is directed by your own inner experiences, moment to moment. Your experience is unique. Therefore you are the expert. Mindful eating replaces self criticism with self nurturing. It replaces shame with respect for your own inner wisdom.

You will learn how to:

  • tune into your own body’s inner wisdom about where, when and what you eat
  • eat less while feeing fully satisfied
  • identify your habits and patterns with food
  • develop a more compassionate attitude toward your struggles with eating
  • discover what your really hungry for
  • ask your body what it needs?
